Want to wrap this Finnish trail in gift paper, pull it with a beautiful ribbon and give it to girlfriend, because trail is ideal in all its manifestations. And don’t be afraid of its length – 15 km. – a wide, absolutely flat footpath, without any significant height difference, will be traversed even by those who had no experience in trekking. Suomunkierto retkeilyreitti is blazed around the picturesque Suomunjärvi Lake in Patvinsuo National Park. The trail will not let you get bored, it “dives” into the undergrowth, then goes to the shores of Suomunjärvi, surprising with an incredible number of beaches with fine sand. If you get tired of a calm and measured hike, there are four places for cooking and setting up tents along the route. The organizers did not forget about parking for campers and personal vehicles – finding a place for a car will not turn into a difficult quest for you. After the hike, you can rent a sauna by the lake, or visit the small INFO-center to drink incredibly strong coffee with fresh, aromatic pastries. Rowing boats, kayaks and canoes are available for rent, but when planning your sailing trip, be prepared for the squally winds that may come from Lake Koitere. Good luck.
