On November 28 the Biathlon World Cup opening will be in Kontiolahti. Despite the fact that I am a biathlon fan, my expectations are mixed – a few days before the start of the competitions, the coronavirus was founded in teams of Russia, Latvia, Moldova, Romania and France, all athletes with positive results were quarantined. Finnish North Karelia has entered to the phase of growth in coronavirus, a lot of restrictions for residents of the region was anonced on this week. Despite of this, tickets for the biathlon competition in Kontiolahti on sale, although (thanks for Organization Committee in Kontiolahti) the total number is limited to 4,500 tickets for one day of competition. I don’t want to panic or give unwanted advices, but if you do arrive at the stadium in Kontiolahti, try to keep a safe distance and use protective masks. Good luck.
